Each Morning, Unused
Sunrise Haiku from Kiawah Island
Some mornings ask nothing of us but attention. During a refreshing November stay on Kiawah Island, I found myself returning to walk the same shoreline at first light, watching the morning reveal itself, hue by hue and step by step. These haiku and photos are small field notes from those moments, where renewal is not declared but practiced, and where each day, like the year now turning, arrives unused.
May 2026 be a wonderful year of renewal for you all!
